Tsuigekito is the 3rd move of the Eishin
Ryu Batto-ho. This set of techniques was introduced in 1939 by Kono
Hyakuren, 20th Soke of the main line of Muso Jikiden
Eishin Ryu, at the request of the Dai Nihon Buto ku Kai, to instruct
officers of the Japanese Navy in the proper method of sword drawing
and handling.
The
Batto-ho techniques are inspired by the older Koryu kata of MJER.
This
video is one of a set of compilations of clips from films shot during
the 20th century of several Japanese masters demonstrating their Art.
The
masters featured in these compilations are:

- Yoshyoka Soryu (1915 – 2018)
- Masayuki Shimabukuro (1948 – 2012)
- Yamaguchi Katsuo (1938 – 2006)
